Chorus Education Trust

Primary and secondary education trust

THE CLIENT
Chorus Education Trust give schools a say in how to develop and commit to providing children with the best education in both primary and secondary schools across South Yorkshire and Derbyshire.

THE TASK
Design a logo and branding that would stand alone and work well incorporated with other school logos within the trust.

THE SOLUTION
The name Chorus was chosen for the feeling of togetherness and inclusion. The icon reflects this with the abstract three figures with open books within a circle. A spectrum of colours is bright, hopeful and inclusive. A strong, bold serif typeface in dark blue looks confident and modern.

When incorporated with other school logos a secondary version is used to have presence but not to dominate.

Photography was art directed at schools within the trust to capture the staff, students and environments. Strong, colourful active shots reflect the activity and vibrancy within the schools. These images are a crucial part of the brand with lots of shots used throughout the print and digital communications and website.

Brand guidelines were created to assist designers and trust staff.
